What's this Lean Deen Method all about?
How is everybody seeing results with this method?
It all started when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at 16 years old,
And of course, as usual the doctors told me to "cut off all the carbs and sugar so I could lower my blood sugars down to a healthy level" plus "hopping on the treadmill every day."
And, hearing that as a kid growing up in America being raised in a Pakistani household, I couldn't believe it.
Roti, naan, bread, carbs, curries, and rice was an absolute staple in my household (and still is)
You can basically imagine how I hated every second of doing endless cardio and not eating with my family at the dinner table.
Fast forward to COVID, I got married.
Overweight, diabetic, worked my 9-5 corporate job, and ate whatever I wanted
I felt horrible, had constant energy crashes, couldn't focus on family time nor concentrate on my career.
I didn't want to jump on medication either which the doctors were pushing me towards.
I knew there was a way to reverse this naturally and sustainably.
At that point, I had no other help and looked towards our Quran + Sunnah and the framework our Prophet SAW provided us as Muslims. Alhamdulillah.
Our Deen tells us to stay balanced with everything that we do
In our worship, our health, and how we work through our daily lives...
And so I realized THAT was the way to go when it came to losing the weight that I put on all these years
Because after trying every no-carb no-sugar diet, I realized I always came to the same ending.
Lack of consistency and results
No discipline in my lifestyle
No healthy habits gained
And it took me a LONG time to realize that our beloved Prophet SAW already GAVE us the key to achieving success through discipline and good habits
...Which is through taking this balanced approach - like he SAW mentioned, to see results for that stay with you for LIFE.
And that's what inspired me to create the Lean Deen framework after almost 15 years of trial and error...
